Circumscale Ventures Ltd. was founded in 2006 in Hong Kong by serial entrepreneur René Seifert as an advisory for the awakening space of corporate innovation. Both large and SME companies identified the need to perform company building at arm's length from their incumbent businesses. As we all know by now: Too much of mother's love can become suffocating. In that respect, Circumscale Ventures has been instrumental in establishing Holtzbrinck eLab, an incubator of Holtzbrinck Publishers out of which 13 companies emerged. The two biggest successes were gutefrage.net and Searchmetrics. Since then, Circumscale Ventures served both as a digital advisor to an array of international companies as well as decided to selectively invest its own capital into a selected few.

What started with the boom and bust of the so called "New Economy" at the end of the 90s, has come to age. 20 years later, digital as a critical element of every company strategy has become tremendously multi-faceted and is about to transform every bit of a business. As your customer relationships are being transformed through new digital products, so will be the channels through which you reach new customers or re-activate dormant ones. Not only building holistic customer acquisition funnels, but actually running them with active media buy on all relevant traffic channels and iteratively optimizing them has been a core competency since Circumscale Ventures' inception. Campaign management on self-service platforms like Google, Facebook or LinkedIN is as much our daily bread as negotiating and actually implementing deals with large media companies.

BLOCKCHAIN

The blockchain changes everything. We look above the hype of the daily Bitcoin price or inflated valuations of shady shitcoins that are about to collapse shortly after. We understand the deep tech of the blockchain down to the math of cryptography and truly useful applications. In one of our projects, we built a solution from scratch for document verification, hashing PDFs and signing them onto Ethereum and later to Polygon within a self-deployed smart contract. We develop the fit-for-purpose utility of the blockchain where there is a real-life use case. Circumscale Ventures itself does not trade in cryptocurrencies.
